Euro Series Really Starts to Heat Up

The first two stages of the 2024 Euro Nascar season have everything we had hoped for and more, with pure competitive racing from start to finish in all of the races. The next stop on the schedule is the British leg of the championship and Brands Hatch. Drivers will race on the "Indy Circuit" configuration of the track, with its 6 corners and 1.2 miles in length making it the second shortest track on the race schedule.

Reinging Pro Series champion Gianmarco Ercoli walked away with both of the wins last season in this race, and the Italian will be hoping to do the same this time out, closing the gap on countryman Vittorio Ghirelli in the points standings. A number of drivers will be looking to kick-start their season heading into the month of June. Ryan Vargas has so far seen his fair share of bad luck being caught up in the serious crash in Spain, but has so far recorded 3 top 15 finishes (2 12th place finishes and 1 11th). Logic would say that Ryan will be more at home racing on the type of track he will race at Brands Hatch, but the American has rightly pointed out that although he will be used to this style of track, it will be in a very different car than he will have raced on an oval-style course before. A man that Ryan might ask for advice is in NASCAR 2, Gil Linster. The man from Luxemborg has recently had the opportunity to take part in an ARCA race at Daytona in the number 68 car for Kimmel Racing.

The scheduling of this race by Euro Nascar might prove to be a master stroke, with Cup and Xfinty in America being on the road that weekend, a good racing product will be a fantastic opportunity to draw in new fans from the US. As usual, the races are free to air on YouTube. The Pro races are penciled in for 38 laps, and the 2 series have 31 laps, meaning, as usual, drivers will have to battle for positions from wire to wire with no room for mistakes or letting their off the ball.
